Enrico Cerasuolo

Born in Venice, 1968. Degree in Political Sciences, Contemporary History. President of Zenit Arti Audiovisive, since its foundation in 1992. Documentary director and screenwriter.

He wrote and directed international documentaries broadcasted by the main international broadcasters and awarded by national and european festival: From Garibaldi to Berlusconi (2011, 118', an ARTE France, Les Films d’Ici and Zenit co-production); The Hidden Face of Fear (2008, 52’, an ARTE France, Les Films d’Ici and Zenit co-production); Space Hackers (2007, 52’, a Zenit, Studio International and ARTE France co-production); Peter’s Dream (2007, 54’, an AMREF and Mestiere Cinema co-production); Checosamanca (2006, 98’, an Eskimosa and RAI Cinema co-production), The Enigma of Sleep (2004, 60’, a Zenit, Les Films d’Ici and ZDF-ARTE co-production).

Luca Mercalli

He studied Agrarian Science and climatology in Italy and France, he's the director of Società Meteorologica Italiana, a scientific association founded in 1865. He directs the magazine Nimbus and he's making reseraches on climat and glaciers of the Alps. He works with schools and universities and he's columnist for the italian daily La Stampa, after having worked for 20 years for another italian daily, La Repubblica. He's part of the team of the programmes Che tempo che fa and RAI2 TGR Montagne, broadcasted on the italian public broadcaster RAI. He also collaborates with RTSI (Switzerland) and with the Climate Broadcast Network of the European Union, a group of weather forecast presenters experienced in communication about climat and environmental risks. He's part of ASPO Italia, the association that studies the Oil Peak. His house is powered by solar energy. w

Among his books: Filosofia delle nuvole, Che tempo che farà (published by Rizzoli), Viaggi nel tempo che fa (published by Einaudi) and Prepariamoci (published by Chiarelettere. It won the Selezione Bancarella 2012 Prize).

Massimo Arvat

Born in Torino in 1967, he holds a degree in Philosophy. From 1990 to 1994 he works at the Museum of Cinema of Torino. He is the founder member of Zenit Arti Audiovisive in 1992. He’s a EAVE graduate and a Eurodoc graduate, and he is a board member of Eurodoc, Doc.IT and Documentary in Europe. Since 1999 he has worked as independent producer specialised in creative documentaries working with the main national and international broadcasters (Rai, Mediaset, Tele+, Arte, Zdf, Yle, Dr, Rtbf, Vpro, Sbs, Tsi, Cbc, Discovery Channel, Fox, The History Channel....). He works as media trainer in Universities, Art schools and professional workshops. He is one of the founders of the Aprodoc Association.

 

Francesca Portalupi

Born in 1980. She is a graduate of the University of Torino's DAMS program. She works with Zenit Arti Audiovisive as responsible for the development of documentaries, production and financing. She worked in the following international Zenit's production: Space Hackers (2007) by Enrico Cerasuolo, Alessandro Bernard and Paolo Ceretto, The Hidden Face of Fear (2008) by Enrico Cerasuolo and Sergio Fergnachino, Me, my gipsy family and Woody Allen (2009) by L. Halilovic, Programma 101 the Machine that changed the World (2011) by Alessandro Bernard and Paolo Ceretto, Andante ma non troppo (2011) by Enrico Cerasuolo, Murge, the cold war frontline (2012) by Fabrizio Galatea. The documentary Almost married (2010, First Appearance at Idfa 2010, screened at MoMa and several festivals in the World) by Fatma Bucak and Sergio Fergnachino is her first work as producer. In 2011 she's associated producer of Transiti by Davide Tosco, coproduced by Docabout and Fargo Film, that is Rai's first transmedia project. She holds courses for the National Cinema Museum of Torino and is founder of the non professional film archive “Superottimisti”. She's part of Documentary in Europe Association

HEIDI CHRISTENSEN GAUKAS

Born in 1984. Heidi holds a Bachelor degree in Cultural Project Managing from the College of Lillehammer from 2008. Today she is head of administration at Skofteland Film. Prior to working with Skofteland Film, she worked at Speranza Film, where she was production manager for several international projects directed by the multi-awarded Margreth Olin, and including feature fiction films, as well as documentary one offs and series.

INGUNN H. KNUDSEN

Born in Oslo, Norway, 1969. Ingunn holds a BA in History of Ideas, French Literature and Psychology from the University of Oslo/La Sorbonne/Paris VII and 12 years of experience as a cultural journalist. She has worked as concept and format developer, script writer, producer and managing editor on a number of infotainment concepts and cultural tv series for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), several being nominated for the TV-award Gullruten (Norwegian Emmy”), as well as for the international market. She is producer, co-producer, head of international sales, distribution and press since 2008. She is also developing as director the documentary “The Queen of Scandinavian Design”, with NRK, SVT and AVRO. Selected credits:

Krister Johnson

Born in Bergen, 1983. Krister finished his degree in Documentary audio engineering at Lillehammer University College in 2013, and is proficient in both field recording and sound design. His work has been heard at festivals like IDFA, Aljazeera IDFF, Eurodok, Dokfilm, Grimstad Short Film Festival and Nordic Docs.
His professional career started out with, amongst others, contributions in the upcoming theatrical documentary "The Optimists" (2013) produced by Last Call co-producer Skofteland Film, and Aljazeera prize-winning film "When the Boys Return" (2012) produced by Sant & Usant. Now he proudly adds "Last Call" (2013) to his list. He is very happy to be part of the Last Call team, and is confident that the film will inspire to change our collective future.

Torstein Nodland

Born in 1970. Educated as Director of Photography at the Norwegian Film School 1997-2000. He has since 2001 shot more than 20 documentaries for television and cinema, and has contributed to a number of documentary tv-series, as well as short films, music videos and commercials. Among his works are:
Prirechnyy – The Town That No Longer Exists (Motlys, 2005) for ARTE , TV2, SVT, YLE.
Pianopia –  for NHK (Japan), and CCTV (China), 2007.
From Prison to Parliament (Mediaoperatørene, 2008) for NRK was awarded Best Documentary at Grimstad Short Film Festival 2008. DOP and co-director.
When Castro seized the Hilton (Frameline, 2009) for NRK, YLE, SVT and Discovery Channel Poland.
Hunting corruption - The Network (Mechanix film AS, 2011) (Partly engaged as DOP.) for NRK, SVT, DR, TSR, RUV.In 2004 Torstein achieved the Norwegian Film Workers Union´s Award.
In 2005 he was awarded the Best Cinematography Award at Interfilm Berlin for the short film “Pappa” (“Daddy”)
